Hello! I’ve found an internet cafe whose computers accept my photos, so here are a few. I wasn’t expecting this small triumph today, so haven’t taken a whole load. I can respond to requests! But don’t forget it takes AGES to upload phots. Like, I’ve been here for an hour uploading 6. Still enjoy, and yes, some of them are duplicated. Sorry! If you click on them you get the full descriptions, titles etc.

This picture best sums up my Siem Reap so far. Bike. Road to work, river to everywhere... It's a nice route to take everywhere.
- This picture best sums up my Siem Reap so far.
- At Mother’s request, here’s a picture of me in my big chair
- No, really. The plants are planted in coconut ’shells’. The golden building has relics of the Buddha himself in them. And if you look really closely in the background yu’ll see the stone structures I was describing in a previous blog. They’re graves, apparently.
- It’s obviously not really so wonky. My camera’s panorama feature is confusing…
- My regular feeding trough and watering hole. You can just see the pool table in the background.
- Notsure if this picture’s worked…
- This is the balcony on my floor, where I can sit and eat, read, listen to music, chat to fellow travellers etc etc. The cafe is just below.
- A Paddy Field, at Catherine’s request, I believe. Getting this photo was the stimulus was my cycle trip, so ta catherine :-)

WOW!!!!!!
Fantastic photos Sally. It makes a huge difference here at home to see where you are. When I’m thinking of you, I can imagine you in these places and it really helps. Thanks
.
You know the view from your balcony? Are they residential houses? It looks very much like a housing estate here! Not what I expected at all.
And your cafe looks extremely posh. I expected something a LOT more basic.
Ooooooo it’s so lovely there. Fantastic choice, Sal.
What you been up to this weekend? Anything exciting?
Thanks for the regular blogs and emails, my little gecko, I love’em.

hey Sal, great pics! Really helps to get a feel of your gap year life – keep them coming. I’d sort of imagined a wooden building for your digs but what you have looks “normal”. Balcony is a definite plus. The place does look generally more modern/concrete than I’d imagined but the palms all around certainly give it an exotic twist.
